Below I collect a few anonymous reviews on my teaching at MIT:
- "Hao's recitations were extremely helpful, his grading was fair, and I appreciated that he was always willing to meet with students individually to discuss our final projects. Thank you Hao!"
- "Hao is an excellent TA for this class. He teaches so well and his recitations always help to clarify important concepts and give us the right intuition. His grading is fair and super efficient (we turned in answers before class, and the graded versions would come after class!) He is very kind and supportive and helped me a lot with my project. I really appreciated his time and efforts!"
- "Hao knows the subject materials so well, and he can clearly explain the materials to students. He is also very patient in replying to the questions I raised online/offline."
- "Hao is a fantastic TA; I have nothing but good things to say about his performance. He ran sections well with helpful slides that covered key topics. He is excellent at explaining complex topics. He is always willing to meet even outside of designated office hours to answer urgent questions. His command over the subject material is unbelievable... there isn't a single question he doesn't know how to answer - and answer clearly and helpfully. Finally, his grading turnaround for problem sets and quizzes is unprecedented - 24-48 hours max. I've never had this happen in any other quant course of taken. High praise to Hao for what has been a truly excellent semester and for a standout teaching performance."
